Nielsen Reports shows MIT45 moving up to #3 in 2020 and on track to #1 by 2024
MIT45 has been growing rapidly for the past couple years and competitors have been taking note as it has become routine for convenience stores to be sold out of MIT45. Now the 2020 numbers are out, and Nielsen reports ranks MIT45 third for total dollar amount sold, quickly sneaking up behind K Shot and Viva Zen. MIT45 is on track to surpass the competition and be number one in the next couple of years.
MIT45 is recognized as the “Gold Standard” in the industry, and has been featured in LA Newswire and multiple other respected publications.
Nielsen is an independent ratings company and a global leader in audience insights, data, and analytics. This is the primary company that has been long used as a benchmark in broadcast television analytics for over 50 years. Recently Nielsen released their report for 2020 analytics.
The major list (and report) for 2020 is comprised of 41,000 stores that participated in providing information to Nielsen. MIT45 received third in the category with $19,598.723 in sales from reported stores, ranking behind Viva Zen ($40M) and K Shot ($34M). Additionally, MIT45 ranked #2 in the category of ACV (All Commodity Volume – the percentage of stores the brand is sold in) with 2.3% (compared to 3.1% for Viva Zen, and 1.3% for K Shot). This further backs the claims MIT45 is rapidly becoming a fan favorite.
The kratom industry has had quite the shakeup since the beginning of the pandemic. Many of the longstanding giants in the industry are shrinking, with some younger companies rapidly taking over. With multiple legal hurdles coming and going over the past few years, ultimately shifting gears after the World Health Organization recommended low regulatory levels for kratom – after a targeted attempt to ban kratom. Now, as it appears the legal hurdles are falling and kratom is seeing expanded worldwide presence, MIT45 appears to be winning the battle for market share
